Good day All , I have been trying to put together all the info that I have on the Joudrey , Bigney , Barry, Horlick, MacNeil and Basker family’s and yes we are all inter related.
The first and most important thing that you must remember that there is a lot of personnel info on this weblog pertaining to our family members. We have a new site on Ancestry.com which I have kept as private for now. If anyone wishes to review this site please send an email to wjoudrey@gmail.com
The information was gathered from several places , first I started with a copy of a Joudry Family tree outline done by a Don Lewis which was stamped North Shore Archives Tatamagouche given to me by a Peter MacDonald of River John. Then I obtained a small book done by a Guy Joudrey from Halifax called the North Shore Joudrey’s. Rootsweb contained a lot more info done by a Paul Crant who also researches the Joudrey’s.
I also used the new Nova Scotia web site https://www.novascotiagenealogy.com/ to verify a lot of the information found, it is a very good site. You will also see that I have used the 1901 and 1911 census for research. I have viewed all the Birth’s,Marriage’s and Death’s certificates for family members that are on this site and annotated the family tree with the registration number, page and item number for any further research.
There still are a few things that have to be researched as yet. One being that Irene (Barry) Joudrey our grandmother has listed a Mr Campbell as her father on her marriage certificate and until I get the full name the (Campbell) family tree will remain as in process . Irene’s mother was Elizabeth (Lizzie) Barry. I found Nanny staying with the Barry’s in the 1911 census and listed as Mary I Campbell. Secondly , there is John Willard Joudrey our dad who was born before Seymour and Irene were married. I have send letters requesting info on both but have heard nothing to date.
Please take a good look at what I have assembled on each family, if you find anything that requires fixing please let me know soonest. If there are any suggestions or recomendations that you have and would like to see please do not hesitate to let me know.
